Enzo Palumbo has announced his candidacy for mayor

Enzo Palumbo filed the nomination paperwork on Aug. 19, which was the deadline for this October's municipal election.

“I believe running for the Mayor’s position at this time is a great opportunity for me and the people of Prince Township, many of which have encouraged and engaged with me through conversation, phone calls, texts, and email," said Palumbo in a press release. "They want to see change and I most definitely agree with that. In essence, I am really not running to win but to serve."

He says his priorities if elected are to restore credibility to the township and the council, develop a plan for new residents and long-time residents to grow and prosper, and to establish stronger partnerships with federal and provincial governments, as well as with the Sault Ste. Marie city council and Batchawana and Garden River First Nations
