A vehicle crashed through the storefront window of a business in Nanaimo, British Columbia on Thursday afternoon, but thankfully no one was injured. The incident occurred at approximately 3:39 p.m. at the 6000 block of Metral Station. Nanaimo Fire Rescue responded to multiple 911 calls and found a single vehicle had entered the business, impacting about 12 feet of glass. While the building sustained no structural damage, the storefront including the door and product items inside were damaged. The store temporarily closed for repairs but plans to reopen as soon as possible.

David Dales, assistant chief of operations for Nanaimo Fire says “a single vehicle had entered inside the business by approximately four feet, and impacted about 12 feet of glass on the frontage of the building. No structural damage, just glass.”“After a patient assessment, it was identified that this was a police matter and everything was turned over to the RCMP.”
“We did as much as we can to help the landlord of the building and the people whose business it was,” said Dales.Two employees were at the back of the store when the vehicle drove into the front.
