As he struggles to regain the offensive form he showed before knee surgery sidelined him for nearly two months, Vassell welcomes the scrutiny. Vassell was expected to return Friday against Memphis after missing Wednesday’s overtime loss to Dallas due to injury management."He is able to get to his spots, but a couple of his shots are going in and out," point guard Tre Jones said."That is always frustrating. But he is definitely finding himself again. He is getting to his spots, shooting the right shots and everything, they are just not falling right now. Any night they will start falling.
“He doesn’t have his rhythm, and he’s having a tough time getting it back,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said.
