He was serving a life sentence for murdering Norah Davis, 84, and Martha Elliot, 82, during break-ins in East Vancouver.

A man sentenced to life in prison for the murder of two elderly women in their homes on Wall Street in East Vancouver 20 years ago has died in custody.

He had been serving an indeterminate sentence for second-degree murder since March 2001. His family has been notified. Elliott was found in her burnt-out home in the 2300-block of Wall Street on Nov. 3. She had been killed the previous evening.
