Sergeant Steve Addison of the Vancouver Police Department ( VPD ) spoke to Global News Morning about increased security measures in downtown Vancouver due to the city hosting thousands of Taylor Swift fans for her Eras Tour . The City of Vancouver issued a warning for slower traffic over the weekend from December 6th to 8th, with events such as the Vancouver Canucks hockey games and Cirque du Soleil performances also taking place.
Various road closures and passenger zones will be in effect for Swift's concerts, and Mobi by Rogers is providing additional bike docking options near BC Place. Sergeant Addison also provided an update on the latest act of violence in the city
