Vancouver police released surveillance videos of two potential witnesses in the CRAB Park homicide of Victor Charles McIntyre, the city's sixth homicide of 2026.
The Vancouver Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify two potential witnesses in the homicide of Victor Charles McIntyre, who was found in medical distress at CRAB Park on Sept. 23, 2026.
Police released two brief surveillance videos on Friday that they say were recorded in the early hours of Sept. 23. They are looking for a man and a woman who may have information about the killing.
Surveillance Videos Show Potential Witnesses
The first video shows a woman wearing a yellow long-sleeve shirt, green pants and burgundy shoes walking near Main and East Cordova streets.
The second video shows a man in a black jacket over a red-and-blue shirt with white lettering, along with black pants and white shoes. He was also carrying a longboard skateboard. That footage was recorded at the intersection of Columbia and Keefer streets.
Police described the two individuals as potential witnesses, not suspects.
Investigation into Vancouver's Sixth Homicide of 2026
Around 7 a.m. on Sept. 23, police responded to reports of a man in medical distress at CRAB Park. Despite life-saving efforts from first responders at the scene, the man died from his injuries.
Police have not said how they believe the man sustained his injuries, but they have described his death as the city's sixth homicide of 2026.
Two days after the killing, police publicly identified the victim as 57-year-old Charles McIntyre. In their release Friday, they gave the victim's name as Victor Charles McIntyre.
Const. Megan Lui said in the release that investigators believe these individuals may have information that could assist the ongoing homicide investigation.
Lui asked that if you are this man or woman, or know who they are, to contact VPD immediately.
Public Appeal for Information
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the VPD Homicide Unit at 604-717-2500.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released.
