VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Canucks are switching up their goaltending staff, promoting one coach and moving another to a scouting role.
The club announced Wednesday that goalie coach and director of goaltending Ian Clark will work as a goalie scout and development coach after requesting a new role with the team.
General manager Patrik Allvin says in a release that Clark"can no longer go on the ice regularly to do the things that have made him successful." Torenius joined the AHL Canucks two seasons ago after working as a goaltending coach for SKA St. Petersburg and Sibir Novosibirsk, both of the Kontinental Hockey League.
