The Roadrunners are stepping up and their first AAC home game is against UAB on Oct. 14.

Linebacker Trey Moore and the Roadrunners will travel to Philadelphia to face the Temple Owls on Oct. 7 in their first American Athletic Conference game.UTSA’s first league matchup as a member of the American Athletic Conference will be on the road against Temple on Oct. 7, kicking off a run of eight straight game weeks on the Roadrunners’ 2023 AAC slate.

The league unveiled the dates and order of opponents for its first conference season with an overhauled membership on Tuesday, giving the Roadrunners the earliest open date available, during the fifth week of the season. The Roadrunners’ first AAC home game is against UAB on Oct. 14. UTSA will not play road games in consecutive weeks during the 2023 season.

The Roadrunners are scheduled for two home Friday kickoffs — against Army on Sept. 15 during the nonconference season and versus USF on Nov. 17. UTSA’s road game against defending AAC champion Tulane in the regular season finale also has the option to be flexed to Friday, falling Nov. 24 or 25.Sept. 9 vs. Texas State
