Anderson served as team captain the past two seasons for the Trojans.

USC point guard Ethan Anderson announced on Twitter on Wednesday that he will be leaving the program after three seasons with the Trojans.

“Want to thank USC from the bottom of my heart for the amazing ride being on 3 tournament teams and doing things people thought I could never do,” Anderson wrote. “I’ve had nothing but fun and I’m so thankful to have played in front of the city that molded me. USC will forever be in my heart.” Anderson came to USC from Fairfax High after initially signing a letter of intent with UNLV. He started 28 games as a freshman, averaging 5.5 points and 4.2 assists per game.

A back injury derailed his sophomore season, and he never quite recovered that freshman form while serving as team captain as a sophomore and junior. This past season, he started 15 games and averaged 4.4 points and 2.2 assists in 21.1 minutes.
