Two weeks before Friday’s attack on a large concert hall in Russia on the outskirts of Moscow that has left more than 130 dead, the U.S. embassy sent out a warning to Americans to 'avoid large gatherings,' including concerts, because of 'imminent plans' for an attack by 'extremists.' On Saturday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken put out a statement saying, 'The United States strongly condemns deadly terrorist attack in Moscow. We send our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed and all affected by this heinous crime. We condemn terrorism in all its forms and stand in solidarity with the people of Russia in grieving the loss of life from this horrific event.
