Investigative team believes 32-year-old Stephen Morrissey had been utilizing an alias, “Elijah Mooner” on social media applications
Royal Newfoundland Constabulary - ContributedPARADISE, N.L. — The RNC announced Wednesday, Sept. 27, it has arrested 32-year-old Stephen Morrissey of Paradise in connection with sexual violence upon a female youth.
Morrissey made a very brief appearance in provincial court in St. John’s Wednesday afternoon, and was remanded in custody to await a bail hearing scheduled for Friday morning. Hicks allegedly posed on social media sites as females, including Maria Winchester, Brittany Campbell, Isabella Ricci and Corrine Smith , as well as a male called Bradol15 on social media and dating sites, using the aliases to arrange sexual acts while keeping his true identity hidden.
Hubbard encouraged parents to create an environment where their child feels they can speak freely about their experiences without being judged or punished; validate all feelings the child might be experiencing, and keep the door open for future discussion.
