Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has arrested Craig Lynch of Paradise. - ContributedPARADISE, N.L. — Police have arrested and charged a wanted man from Paradise.
The arrest stems from an incident in Paradise where Craig Lynch allegedly assaulted an RNC officer using an ATV as a weapon on Wednesday. The officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and an arrest warrant was issued for Lynch.
Police said the responding officer tried to arrest Lynch in the area, but he assaulted the officer and fled the area on an ATV.Lynch is wanted on charges including assaulting an officer with a weapon causing bodily harm, resisting an officer, failing to comply with a release order, dangerous driving and failure to stop at the scene of an accident. Additional charges have been laid under the Highway Traffic Act and Off-Road Vehicles Act.
