UPDATE: A Danish man has been apprehended
“The man used a bow and arrow … for some of the attacks,” police chief Oeyvind Aas told reporters. The police were investigating whether other weapons had also been used, he said.
Police chief Oeyvind Aas speaks to the media after several people were killed and others were injured in the attack.Aas added that “police had received several reports from people in Kongsberg of a man armed with what they said was a bow and arrow,” adding that it was “too early” to determine a motive. But, he said, “considering the course of events, it is natural to ask whether this is a terrorist incident.
