Colchester County District RCMP responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle on a logging road in Greenfield at 6:10 a.m. on Oct. 4.Officers learned the vehicle, a red Mazda Miata, belonged to Kruger and had first been observed in the area on Sept. 30 by a member of the public, who reported it to police after seeing a recent news release about Kruger.
Ground search and rescue teams were activated, and a search of the area in Greenfield was started. The search was suspended at 10 p.m. Oct. 4 and resumed Oct. 5.
