Halifax Regional Police release Dartmouth suspect’s name and photo | SaltWire #news #novascotiaIn a recently released family court decision, Justice Theresa Forgeron ordered Paul Ward pay his ex-wife a total cost award of $15,250 of which $8,000 was assessed because of Ward’s litigation conduct.

In citing some examples, Forgeron said Ward attempted to produce evidence unrelated to the issue at hand or other issues already decided; he treated his ex-wife’s lawyer with significant disrespect in making inappropriate comments, innuendo and allegations about the individual’s character; he blamed court staff and a judge for what he perceived as bias and unfair treatment of himself; he failed to accept evidentiary rulings and failed to provide timely and organized disclosure.

Costs are payable to the successful party in an action but Ward and Murphy disagreed over who was the successful party. Forgeron ruled it was Murphy.
