United Airlines is suspending operations at JFK at the end of October
United Airlines Holdings Inc. said it is retreating from John F. Kennedy International Airport after trying to gain a foothold at the airport during the Covid-19 pandemic.
United has said it is unable to grow at New York’s JFK because it can’t obtain enough slots—takeoff and landing rights administered by the Federal Aviation Administration—to compete with rivals that have a larger presence at the airport.
