Thousands of autoworkers in Ontario will be in a legal strike position as of midnight Monday.

The contract between Ford and Unifor members will expire at midnight Monday. If there is no deal in place, more than 5,000 people will be in a legal strike position. The union has extended its contracts covering 14,000 autoworkers employed by Stellantis and General Motors as it continues bargaining with Ford.
