As Ukrainians mark Mother's Day on Sunday, the thoughts of those fleeing to the UK turn to family.

Kateryna said she felt "lost and emotionally tired" but was grateful her son could go to school

"I don't know how to feel this Mother's Day, I am happy that we are safe and my son can go to school, but my husband is still in Ukraine with his relatives and my mum is in Moldova. Ms Cherney, 39, said: "It's very difficult for us to arrange anything. Because of the war we can't send items to our parents easily."We normally buy her flowers, presents, and take her for a meal or a spa day, but this year to have mum and dad safe would be the perfect Mother's Day gift."
