As of November, the total amount of documented damage to residential and nonresidential real estate and other infrastructure in unoccupied Ukraine amounted to $135.9 billion, if replaced at current costs, according to the Kyiv School of Economics.
“Enough new weapons systems and ammunition, and Ukraine could retake all of its territory,” said Phillips O’Brien, professor of strategic studies at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. “I’m not in the mood for a celebration, people are tired,” he said. “We will have an even bloodier year ahead of us than the previous one.”
