Hot on the heels of the UK's hottest day ever, forecasters are predicting August will see the return of a 'heat surge' with temperatures potentially set to skyrocket once again
The UK is set to face its hottest ever August as the country once again finds itself plunged into an imminent “heat surge” as a result of rising temperatures.
James Madden, a forecaster for Exacta Weather, explained that confidence for the return of another heatwave remained high, reports the Daily Star. “Temperatures in parts of the north will also rise into the 20Cs, but generally it will be cooler across the region.” The news follows hot on the heels of the hottest day ever recorded in the UK, when temperatures on Tuesday 19 July reached an unprecedented 40.3°C.
