Willoughby, Ohio — University Hospitals will expand its specialty care for children in Lake County with a new pediatric clinic opening Monday.is geared toward attracting patients from Lake, Ashtabula and Geauga counties, the hospital said.
“We are excited to bring specialized pediatric care for common childhood conditions like allergies, asthma, diabetes and sports injuries closer to home for families in Lake and surrounding counties,” said Patti DePompei, president of UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s and UH MacDonald Women’s hospitals. The enlarged space will allow the hospital to expand its pediatric offerings beyond what is currently available at Mentor, including echocardiography. Dr. Robyn Strosaker, president and chief operating officer of UH Lake West, TriPoint and Beachwood medical centers, said these changes will help meet the current and future needs of a rapidly growing population.
