UH football notebook: AAC title game a long shot, but there is a path
UH coach Dana Holgorsen will let the AAC title game sort itself out. He's focused exclusively on Saturday's home game against Tulsa.Although a long shot, a path remains for the University of Houston to reach the American Athletic Conference championship game
Part of the matchup will be finalized Friday, with the Cincinnati-Tulane winner set to host the Dec. 3 title game. On Saturday night, UCF plays 1-10 South Florida, and UH hosts 4-7 Tulsa.• In the event of a two-way tie for second with Tulane, the Cougars would lose the head-to-head tiebreaker . The AAC uses a composite of four polls: Colley Matrix, Anderson & Hester, Billingsley Report and Wolfe Ratings.
McCaskill, the American Athletic Conference's Rookie of the Year with 16 rushing touchdowns last season, has missed the entire 2022 campaign with a torn ACL suffered during spring practice. He has been participating in some drills at practice.
