Uber passengers could face paying 20% more in London after VAT court ruling

US giant previously said it should not have to pay VAT on fares as software firm. But in December judges ruled that Uber was eligible to pay VAT as transport firm.

Now Transport for London is reportedly pushing Uber to introduce VAT in weeks. The move comes after Uber announced a 10 per cent rise to its fares in London. It also comes as TfL announced Tube and bus fares would increase from March
