The Canada Border Services Agency alerted OPP about a suspected impaired driver on Friday.

Ontario Provincial Police are reporting details of a recent incident at the Pigeon River border crossing.

On Friday evening, Canada Border Services Agents contacted OPP about a U.S. motorist trying to cross back into Minnesota. Officers were dispatched, and after investigating they arrested the individual and took the person to the Thunder Bay OPP detachment for further testing. The 28-year-old from Madison, Wisconsin was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs, operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, and driving a vehicle with an open contain of liquor.
