University of Texas Rio Grande Valley also ranked No. 9 in"Least Debt." About 21 percent of UT-RGV first-years took out federal loans, and graduates had $12,981 in median federal debt.
Texas Southern University ranked No. 6 in"Most Debt." About 76 percent of first-year students received federal loans, and graduates left with $29,340 in federal student loan debt. The Houston university also ranked No. 1 in"Economic Diversity," with 69 percent of Fall 2021 students receiving Pell grants.
The University of Texas at Austin snagged several Top 10 categories, including No. 7"Undergraduate Business Programs" and No. 9"Undergraduate Engineering Programs" with doctorates offered.
