U.S. Coast Guard suspend search for missing kite surfer on Lake Michigan near Evanston
U.S. National Guard confirmed the search has been suspended after their helicopter, as well as a small boat and Evanston Police investigations, did not find a body or any updates.
The U.S. Coast Guard received a distress call around 5:30 p.m. from a firefighter who saw the surfer go underwater. They also suspended their search pending any other further developments.
