The U.S. has released its rules that will require various foreign nationals, including some Canadians, to register with the government, and they take effect April 11.

The U.S. order also states foreign nationals are required to submit for fingerprinting as well as registration, however, the interim final rule notes Canadians are among those exempt.Those travelling by air to the U.S. are also often issued a Form I-94 through preclearance, which means if you plan to fly into the U.S. it’s unlikely you will have to do any additional form of registration.
