One unknown person decided to alert the police with the claim a tiger was “pawing in the grass.
Police responded to the scene with the expectation of seeing a live jungle cat. However, according to a Facebook post published to the Greater Manchester Police Oldham Central’s page, the bobbies found something quite different. “Yesterday evening Oldham Police earned their stripes when they were contacted by a concerned member of the public of a tiger loose in the nearby gardens that appeared to be pawing in the grass,” begins“Officers arrived quickly and after evaluating the situation agreed it was in fact not a real animal but a toy—Tony the Tiger!”how Tony was just casually lying on some grass, minding his own business, when the concerned citizen sounded the alarm.
