MPs have approved a bill to delay Brexit and avoid a no-deal on October 31. British lawmakers will continue to debate the bill amid speculation Prime Minister Boris Johnson could call a snap election.

Johnson for now appears to have been outmanoeuvred by an alliance of rebel Conservative MPs, and oppositions parties who want to block his plan to leave the EU on October 31 with, or without a trade deal.
