Ty Henricks didn’t initially hear his name when the Rangers selected him No. 183 overall in the sixth-round of the NHL draft last Thursday.
“Me and my dad were sitting down on the couch watching the draft, and he saw it before I did,” Henricks said Tuesday following Day 3 of Rangers development camp in Tarrytown.
Henricks has been scouted as a pretty heavy skater, but you could see the youngster working on his edges, adding a little more jump and lightness to his stride.Robert Sabo for NY Post Fargo is a veteran-heavy squad that had little opportunity for Henricks to eat real minutes in the lineup, whereas the Lumberjacks are in somewhat of a building mode, focussing on younger talent.
