Sudbury resident, 60, charged with careless driving for April 19 collision
A collision early Wednesday morning on Highway 17 near Coniston sent two people to hospital, one of them charged with careless driving.
The crash occurred April 19, shortly after 8 a.m. on Highway 17 between the bypass and Bob’s Service Centre. Nipissing West Ontario Provincial Police officers and Greater Sudbury Fire Services responded. The crash left both drivers injured. They were transported to Health Sciences North by Manitoulin-Sudbury Paramedic Services with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 60-year-old Sudbury resident has been charged with careless driving as a result of the crash, which closed Highway 17 for just under an hour.
