Two transit operators nominated for the Calgary White Hat Awards yyc

Bus drivers Grant Massie and Catherine DeWolfe are each up for one of the awards, although neither is sure who nominated them or what they did to get the nod.

He said for him, the job is just about getting people to their destinations and seeing familiar faces as people return to transit after the pandemic. She was in a packed train coming home from a hockey game with her father when a CTrain operator invited her into the control booth. DeWolfe now passes her knowledge on to curious kids. She said she loves talking with children who have questions about the bus. She also hands out temporary tattoos to kids and sometimes adults.
