Durham police have charged two employees from Aspira Traditions Retirement Home for the death of a 79-year-old woman. The woman was found outside the residence, having tried to re-enter after leaving the stairwell the night before. She died from exposure to the elements.

Police say the woman entered a stairwell and left the residence around 7:30 p.m. the night before. She tried to get back inside but the doors were locked.
