With the reduced fire activity there is no longer a need to restrict public access to the Omineca and Donnie Creek complexes.

The Area Restrictions that were established around the Donnie Creek Complex and Omineca Complex have been rescinded by the B.C. Wildfire Service.

The BCWS reminds members of the public and industry personnel that the Donnie Creek wildfire and Omineca Complex are still active wildfire and active worksites, and caution should be exercised at all times while travelling or working in the areas. Before entering any area affected by a wildfire, members of the public and industry personnel should be aware that significant safety hazards may be present.
