Durham police say they caught two people trying to fraudulently register 20 vehicles in Bowmanville.

They were at the Service Ontario on Church Street Thursday and police say a woman was trying to register the vehicles to people who were not from Durham Region and believed to be fraudulent.The woman and a man were arrested at the scene. Latia Stewart, 26, and Andre Samuels, 39, both of Toronto are charged with 16 counts of utter forged document, 16 counts of fraud concealment, 20 counts of possess ID document, fraud under $5,000, five counts of possession of forged document, attempt fraud and conspiracy to commit.
