The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office responded to a helicopter crash this morning along State Road 47 and Sedgefield Ln.

Upon arrival, deputies located a small helicopter that had crashed near the roadway. They rendered aid to the two occupants of the helicopter, who miraculously only sustained minor injuries. No one else was injured.

Information known about the crash was forwarded to the Federal Aviation Administration, which will investigate the cause of the crash.
