Two men from the Stoney Nakoda First Nation are facing 27 combined charges, following an alleged armed robbery and vehicle theft days after they were released from prison. Cochrane RCMP said its crime reduction unit was monitoring two prolific offenders in December when they committed an armed robbery. During a later chase on foot, the man used bear spray on an officer but was later apprehended with help from police dogs. Following the investigation, police recovered a stolen shotgun and four stolen vehicles.
