Two men arrested, third sought after fatal daytime shooting in Mississauga, Ont. GlobeToronto
Police say two people with links to organized crime have been arrested in connection with a daylight shooting in Mississauga, Ont., that killed a 32-year-old man earlier this week.
Investigators say a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a third person, and there may be other suspects.Story continues below advertisement Police say Michael Deabaitua-Schulde, of Mississauga, was found at the scene and died from his injuries in hospital. They say two suspects – 28-year-old Marckens Vilme and 26-year-old Jonathan Martinez-Reyes – were arrested Wednesday night in Montreal.Another man, 38-year-old Joseph Pallotta of Montreal, is still at large and sought on a first-degree murder charge.“I want to assure the community that we will not tolerate this type of violence in our community,” Peel regional police interim Chief Chris McCord said in a statement.
“I am pleased to say two arrests have been made and both suspects are believed to members of organized crime.”
