The single-engine Quest Kodiak 100 aircraft carrying four people was on its way from Masset on Haida Gwaii to Tofino when it crashed in Tahsis Inlet near Mizona Point at around 2 p.m. Tuesday. A spokeswoman for the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre said the centre was alerted at 1:42 p.m. that an emergency locator beacon had gone off.
