Four occupants of one the vehicles involved were taken to hospital, where two were pronounced dead.
Provincial police said the three-vehicle crash happened on Highway 17 east of the city just before 11 a.m. Friday.A section of the highway was closed for several hours on Friday, but fully reopened Saturday morning.
The OPP's North West region traffic incident management team is involved in the ongoing investigation.
