Holland America, which owns both cruise ships, says there were no injuries and minimal damage.
The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority says two Holland America cruise ships were involved in the collision. Early Saturday morning, the Oosterdam ship collided with the already docked Nieuw Amsterdam.
There were no injuries reported and disembarkation on both ships proceeded as usual, according to the company. “We felt this jolt and I saw out the window something splash into the water,” said Carrusca, who had travelled from San Diego to Vancouver. “I’m guessing it was part of the rail.”
