Two people accused of producing and selling illegal guns and weapons are back in Harbour Grace provincial court this morning seeking bail.
Forty-nine-year-old John Byrne and 41-year-old Crystal Chislett are accused of a number of offences stemming from a major illegal weapons bust at a Harbour Grace home last week. During the raid, RCMP seized a number of handguns and long guns, a 3D printer which produced some of the firearms, ammunition, and a body armour security uniform.
The two are charged with manufacturing firearms, possession for the purpose of trafficking, unsafe storage of firearms, having a gun loaded and accessible, and possessing guns obtained by crime.The two spent the weekend in jail following a court appearance on Friday, and will make their case for bail this morning.
