A man and woman are facing charges after Durham police say they caused a number of collisions in Oshawa with a stolen vehicle.

They were called to the Ritson Road North and King Street East area around 3:20 p.m. Friday for multiple complaints of a potential impaired driver.Officers were then called for a suspicious vehicle in the area of Taunton Road and Harmony Road North. A man and woman, matching the descriptions from the collisions, parked a severely damaged car in a parking lot before fleeing on foot.Investigators determined the vehicle had been stolen from Waterloo.

Ashley MacKinnon, 26 of no fixed address is charged with possess property obtained by crime over $5000, operation while prohibited, drive motor vehicle no licence, careless driving, and fail to remain at accident.Both parties were released on an undertaking. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Cst.
