Cheyenne McCrea captured video of a possible tornado near Edberg, Alta. Monday afternoon. Environment and Climate Change Canada are investigating reports that a tornado touched down near Edberg, a small community south of Camrose that is about 125 kilometres southeast of Edmonton.

A tornado watch was issued just before 3:30 for a large area stretching from south and east of Edmonton to the Saskatchewan border. Environment Canada, which issued the warning, said conditions "are favourable for the development of funnel clouds and possibly brief, weak tornadoes." The warning also noted "strong winds, large hail and heavy rain are also possible.
