Book lovers gathered at the University of Arizona's bookstore on Sunday to listen to the big reveal!
TUCSON, Ariz. — The festival bringing together book lovers from across the Tucson area will be here in just a few more months!
“When you escort the authors to the places they’re actually going to be speaking, you hear them, you talk to them, you hear more about their books,” she said.“It’s a real privilege to be able to read what other people have written and try to have your own mind sort of expanded by what others have written,” she said.Some of the authors revealed include J.A. Jance, Thomas Perry, and Luis Alberto Urrea.
Lindy Elkins-Tanton is one of the authors who will be a part of the festival. She was at the preview event on Sunday and spoke about her book “A Portrait of the Scientist as a Young Woman.”Authors are chosen by a committee. Melanie Morgan, the festival’s executive director said in late summer, people submitted who they want to see at the festival and the committee chose them based on feedback.
