Fox News host Tucker Carlson went on a tangent about—what else—liberal politics during his Friday evening show, accusing progressives of creating a culture in which “lying is the currency of public life.”
The host opened his spiel by mocking Pete Buttigieg — presidential hopeful and mayor of South Bend, Indiana — for expressing regret over once saying"All Lives Matter," a phrase often used to undermine Black Lives Matter efforts. Then, he moved toward Beto O'Rourke. The former Texas representative came under fire in March for joking that his wife, Amy Hoover Sanders, did most of the child-rearing while he campaigned for the Democratic ticket.
Carlson has been one of the most outspoken political commentators against immigration, once remarking in 2018 that it"makes our country poorer, and dirtier, and more divided."
