“It was clearly communicated to employees and gave them opportunities to become fully vaccinated with the consequences for non-compliance laid out. The policy was even extended to ensure compliance.” “He had health concerns. Waterson says she sent an email to her supervisors on Oct. 6, informing them she was indeed fully vaccinated, but highlighting concerns regarding uploading proof of vaccination into the TTC’s online portal. She cited a cyber attack that took place at the commission a year earlier as reason for concern.

As a result, she was terminated alongside over 300 other employees over the holiday season. In turn, she is seeking $167,000 in damages.
