McCabe Escapes Serious Injury After Skate Cut
Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake McCabe said he was very lucky to avoid serious injury after suffering a skate cut during a game. McCabe recounted the incident, stating that he saw blood and quickly got off the ice. The injury could have been much worse, but McCabe was able to return to action.
The skate cut is a reminder of the dangers players face on the ice. McCabe's quick reaction likely prevented a more severe outcome. He has since resumed playing and is grateful for the relatively minor nature of the injury.
