President Donald Trump posted an image of Vice President JD Vance and second lady Usha Vance’s new baby before they did.announced“We are excited to announce that our baby boy, Alec Neel Vance, was born this morning. Usha and the baby are happy and healthy, and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother,” the couple said in a statement signed by them both.
The Vances also thanked the “incredible” military doctors and staff members at Walter Reed Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit, calling them a “blessing. ”“It’s one of these jobs where it’s impossible to completely disconnect from it. The good thing about having a little bit of control over your schedule in your life is that you can incorporate your kids in your job in a way that they love,” he told the outlet.
He added, “I think it’ll mean the kids are probably here at the White House more than they have been the last few months, and I’ll probably be at home a little bit more, and we’ll just make it work. ” The vice president also told NBC that his wife will “take a long period out of the public eye” after welcoming their child.
