President Donald Trump said Tuesday his administration is looking at tax cuts, including cutting payroll taxes. Trump's comment follows a late-Monday Washington Post report that the administration was considering a temporary payroll tax cut.
The White House said cutting payroll taxes wasn't under consideration, and Trump on Tuesday did not put any time frame on such a cut. But he said, "payroll taxes is something I have been thinking about. Many people would like to see that." The president also repeated his desire for the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates.
